Taking The Ride Easy With The Eagles

Who would ever forget the legendary country music group back in the early 70’s, the Eagles? It was my father’s favorite classic rock band and he used to play their songs everyday while driving me to school.
“Eagles” is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California back in the early 70’s. They started to rock the music industry in 1972, and continued to savor the great goodness of their fame until 1982. However, because of increase in the population of new bands in the US, the Eagles had somewhat lost their popularity.
The Eagles’ fanatics missed them a lot. This was the reason why they came back after 11 years. They released their “Greatest Hits Album” and the “Hell Freezes Over” containing the ever famous hit single “Hotel California” in 1994. And until now, they are performing as a new country rock band with new members.
“Take it Easy” was their very first single on their 1972 self titled debut album. It was a feel-good country rock song that I memorized. I was my Dad’s favorite driving song. So, step on your clutch and start your engine as I give you their 1972 classic hit “Take it Easy”.
Take It Easy
By The Eagles
Well I’m a runnin’ down the road
try’n to loosen my load
I’ve got seven women on my mind
Four that wanna own me,
two that wanna stone me
One says she’s a friend of mine
Take it easy, take it easy
Don’t let the sound of your own wheels
drive you crazy
Lighten up while you still can
Don’t even try to understand
Just find a place to make your stand,
and take it easy
Well, I’m a standin’ on a corner
in Winslow, Arizona
Such a fine sight to see
It’s a girl my lord in a flat-bed Ford
Slowin’ down to take a look at me
Come on, baby, don’t say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love
is gonna save me
We may lose and we may win,
though we may never be here again
So open up I’m climbin’ in,
so take it easy
Well, I’m a runnin’ down the road
tryin’ to loosen my load
Got a world of trouble on my mind
Lookin’ for a lover
who won’t blow my cover,
she’s so hard to find
Take it easy, take it easy
Don’t let the sound of your own wheels
make you crazy
Come on baby, don’t say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love
is gonna save me
